Peaceful Mind Psychiatry offers individualized care focused on thoughtful evaluation, medication management, and ongoing monitoring.
Comprehensive psychiatric assessment includes review of current symptoms, treatment history, medications, relevant medical factors, and individual goals to help clarify diagnosis and guide treatment.
Ongoing medication management may include starting, adjusting, simplifying, or tapering psychiatric medications when clinically appropriate, with continued monitoring of effectiveness, side effects, and overall response.
When appropriate, laboratory testing may be ordered to evaluate possible medical contributors to symptoms or to monitor medication safety.
Testing may include thyroid function, vitamin and nutritional levels, metabolic monitoring, liver and kidney function, and other labs based on individual needs.
GeneSight pharmacogenomic testing may be considered in select cases to provide additional information about how genetic differences may affect medication metabolism and response.
Results are used as one part of the overall clinical decision-making process.
Standardized screening tools may be used to support assessment, help clarify symptoms, and monitor progress over time.
When helpful, care may be coordinated with therapists, primary care providers, specialists, and other members of your healthcare team.
Brief supportive psychotherapy may be incorporated into medication-management visits when appropriate. This may include supportive counseling, psychoeducation, coping strategies, motivational interviewing, and discussion of behavioral or lifestyle changes that support treatment goals.
For patients needing more intensive or ongoing psychotherapy, coordination with a therapist may be recommended.
When clinically appropriate, Peaceful Mind Psychiatry may provide supporting documentation related to care, including:
Workplace or school accommodation documentation
FMLA-related documentation
Emotional support animal letters
Other clinically appropriate forms or letters
Documentation is based on an established clinical relationship, appropriate evaluation, and clinical judgment. Completion of specific forms or letters cannot be guaranteed and may require additional time or a separate appointment.
